There's not enough information provided to recommend a hosting service. However, I'd recommend buying your domain from Google's domain services.

Depends. Seeing that this is your first time, any shared hosting will do the trick. GoDaddy is what I am using for a few small projects. If you want to be fancy then try cloud hosting (like AWS).

GoDaddy is defiantly one of the best. (this has everything)
If all you need is a domain though, try Google Domains. (this only has domains)

I recommend learning to host your own through a Apache/Nginx/Cowboy/Other web server installed on a VPS or dedicated server. Check out AWS or Digital Ocean.

Im currently hosting a gaming blog on godaddy. And no problems, although I might need to upgrade storage as I seem to be running out.

I personally choose to use one.com They have always been reliable and offer solid support. GoDaddy works good too though.
