Most cases cost about $.05 or less, and a key to open the case is anywhere between $2.30 and $2.50 (depending where you buy them). There is no guarantee that you will ever get a knife. I opened about 400 cases before I got my first knife.

Knives can sell for anywhere between $33 (the cheapest knife as of now) and upwards of $10,000 (which is dependent on knife type, skin, pattern, float, etc...) Don't buy the game is hopes of getting rich from opening knives, trust me, you'll be broke.
