So basically my internet is supposed to be 6mb/s each way and while downloading games I'm lucky to get 400kb/s. Can anyone suggest what's going wrong?

Make sure all your drivers are up to date. Motherboard and that. Saw it on another post that it gave some guy a big increase in speeds

Speedtest's use MegaBITS per second to show your speeds. MegaBITS and MegaBYTES are 2 totally different things. 8Megabytes = 1MegaBITS (Approx)

8MB is not 1Mb.

That means I would have a speeds of 1680 Megabytes down (Which I don't). 100Mb is 10MB

8 Megabit = 1 Megabyte

wrote For example, lets say theres a music file that you want to download and the file size is 1 MegaByte (1MB). In simple terms, 1 MegaByte = 8 Megabits, so if your broadband connection was running at 8 Megabits per second (Mbps) then that means you could reasonably expect to download that file in the space of a second; this could perhaps also be expressed as 1 MegaByte per second (MBps).

You've literally just posted a google image which shows "1Megabyte = 8 Megabits" and I even linked you to a website showing this. Are you possessed or something? Like seriously what planet are you on?
