I haven't seen a thread on this and was curious if anyone knows any tricks about this. Is it better to get the common drops or the rare drops to try to get more rares or whatever and get the most for your credits? Also is there certain times during the day/night that rares are chosen more often?

All I buy are commons and I always get a rare or a legendary. Last night I opened 3 legendarys in 1 common pack.
