Okay so I am 16 years old in my junior year right now, I use to play football when I was younger but quit after my first year of tackle, not because I didn't like the sport but because my coach was an asshole who played favorites... I've been going to the gym for the past month and will continue to go. Is it to late for me to start playing football and actually get playing time next year? All my friends want me to play and they recommend that I play cornerback or strong safety but let me know if you think I should play something else

I'm 5'9 160 Pounds and I'm decently fast, will improve over the next 8 months

COMMENT FOR ANYMORE INFORMATION ABOUT ME IF YOU NEED TO. THANKS

Well it's not about what you wanna play really it's about what position your coach thinks you should play

Based off what the kids on the team told me, I'd be able to take anyone's spot except for the superstar kids which there's only like 3

Its never too late, go for it. I played football my high school years and I made some of my best memories with my teammates. Enjoy it while you can.

It could be a bit hard depending on how long the other person playing the same position has played, but i say go for it. I took soph year off after freshman year cause i moved schools, and thought the same thing as you jr and senior year so i never played again, i regret it.
