I got to mess around with Samsung's Gear VR for a while, I wouldn't say VR is necessarily ready yet, then again the gear is only for mobile really so..

My brother got the same thing that Mitochondria said. I played with it for a bit, it's definitely pretty cool.

They have one where you can walk through a village in Afghanistan on a patrol which is a little uncomfortable for me but it's still cool non the less..

At this stage of it... I would say no as VR hasn't gotten that advanced yet. But still, some of the games that are out for VR are actually pretty well made and turn out to be a good bit of fun

Like others have said I would hold off another year until it gets improved so you can actually get a decent setup without spending so much. I've only tried cheaper one's so it's unfair for me to give an opinion on whether it's worth it

Thanks for all the replies, i'm just going to wait until it get improved and is less expensive for a decent set up. Also, do i need a computer to play the games or am i able to download certain games on my hone and play it through that? Just want to know because my parents said they might get me one for my birthday.

I want to try it, but like others posted before me. I'll probably wait another year or so.
