With a BIOS update, yes. However an unlocked CPU would not make sense with your motherboard. Also Kaby Lake CPUs are minimum gain over Skylake and are over priced right now.

Like 13 said about compatibility. However Kaby lake is a miniscule performance increase it only offers higher stock clock speeds and 4k encoder drm so you can stream and watch certain 4k content like Netflix 4k (which only works on Microsoft Edge)

Why would you send your 6600 back just to replace it with a 7600k? Kaby Lake CPUs are not a logical upgrade from Skylake, especially an i5 to an i5. Also as I said, an unlocked CPU is totally wasted in that motherboard. IF anything, an i5-7500 or even i5-7600 would make more sense but there's absolutely zero reason to swap out an i5-6600.

It's not a logical upgrade. Your i5-6600 is still plenty. It doesn't make sense for anyone who bought a decent CPU(modern i3/i5/i7) in the last 4 years or so to 'upgrade' to Kaby Lake. It's a waste of money. At the very least, wait for Zen, but that's also likely not going to be a logical upgrade from an i5-6600 unless you go high end Zen, but at that point, you'd probably be better off upgrading to a compatible i7, like a 6700 or 7700.
