Every 25 posts you earn 1 rep so posting a lot is a good way. Host a few giveaways and just be helpful in general. Don't worry about it too much. It's pretty much meaningless.

Or just go to the shout box and ask

You could do what the following say which isn't 100% true.

Most likely if you ask staff for rep you don't get any, and if you beg for it you always get called out on it and then no one will rep you and you would have a 'reputation' of asking for rep.

To earn rep just be an all round nice member to the community, this doesn't include doing giveaways every week but just be helpful!
