Just a debate wether graffiti is art or vandalism?
I'm doing a speaking and listening assessment in English and I'm just asking weather your think it's art or vandalism?

Depends where it is. If its on Donald Trumps house then its art, if its on a brand new hospital then its vandalism

Graffiti in itself is a form of art, however the location which the graffiti is placed upon could make it considered vandalism. Reguardless if it's vandalism or not it is still defined as a form of art.

I think it is both

While considered Vandalism in a legal sense, alot of it is still considered art at the same time. The word art is s very general term and doesnt really have set criteria

Although staying in the middle of both Illegal and Art, I'd have to say more on the artsy side.

Most heavily graffiti areas in Detroit where I am are broken down and destroyed this kinda is a way of bringing those ruined neighborhoods back to life.

In my opinion it depends on the piece.

If its stupid tags or a poor throw-up then vandalism but if its stuff such as a well placed piece or actual art with a message then I would call it "Art"

I believe there is a strong difference between Graffiti and Graffiti style street Art.

Banksy, Space Invader, Dave Bonzai and Cope 2 are Artist not Vandals in my eyes.

But writing latisha is a slut on the toilet walls isn't art is it
