I don't blame people for doing it because it's a easy way to not lose any games. Although I'm not going to do it and I recommend everyone here avoids using it as it will lead to a ban, yes it's all EA's fault but a ban is a ban unfortunately. It's EA's game which is the part that serves us all really.

There is 3 or 4 glitches like this floating around, I'd imagine next fut champs will be cancelled aswell tbh, no way EA will fix this in 7 days.
