I agree with you here as well, it becomes another story when they're not responsible for their own actions. I think those sort of people who can't look after themselves are stupid and idiots.

I think you guys are missing the whole point of the rant and rather focusing on the story that leads up to the rant. The story in its self could be a rant, but that's not what Glock- what actually ranting about.
Here's the issue with parents that buy their kids nice vehicles. The issue is that they think they have some super expensive car and now all of the sudden road rules don't apply to them and they're more important than you. Of course that's not to mention how big of a disservice the parents are doing to the kids. Cool, the kid has some super expensive car that they can't afford. These kids have no motivation to work as they have no goals. So now, they can't afford insurance, when something brakes or needs maintenance they also can't afford that, and god for bid the parents die and now they have to figure out how to pay for all this stuff.
Buying your kid a new Toyota Camry or something is understandable as it's safe and fuel efficient. Buying them a brand new Porsche however, is not smart in any way.

On one side I agree with you
But the other half of me really says who cares what they buy? Life isn't about lessons or learning things, we are just alive. Buy whatever you want. We'll all be dead in 100 years or so anyways

I pulled into the parking lot and parked next to his car. He looked about 18ish maybe. I exited my vehicle and leaned against my hood and waited for him to come out. Once he comes out i nicely stated "You cut us off and almost made me lose control, my fiance is 7 months pregnant" He looked at me and rolled his eyes and laughed. Now at that point i was kind of annoyed. I went up to his driverside door (roof was down) and pulled out my badge and rested it against my hand as i leaned against his car
I do not like how you confronted this individual.

I agree with you bro. He acted like a typical power hungry cop.
You took things too far when you pulled out your badge and leaned against his car. You should of just sucked up your pride and done the noble thing

I agree with the idea of letting people buy what they want, but I do not agree with parents buying their kids cars and really expensive stuff when they are young. My ideology is that if it is your first car, you should get something that isn't expensive. When you first start driving you are more susceptible to get into an accident, by both parties. My first car cost $5,000 because I know it's possible for me to get into an accident earlier in my life than later.
