If you are not using your car to drive to work then that will lower the cost. Also if you have a black box and limited miles will lower the cost.
I went with More than Smart wheels insurance for my first year. It was £500 upfront then ~£95 a month if I remember correctly. I had 5k miles max and only used my car to go to the gym and that was it. The first year is always a bitch so I would use compare sites such as "Compare the Market" "money supermarket" etc to get the best price.
Good luck !

Tip of advise don't go for the cheapest, you get screwed over so bad if you are found at fault in an accident, if the damage is more then what you plan covers you have to pay out of pocket the remaining amount the insurance didn't cover

SO many things go into it. Your race, sex, type of vehicle, paint color, age of the vehicle, how much insurance you want, where you live, performance in school, etc. etc. What is the cheapest for me may not be the cheapest for you. As said don't get the cheapest one though. Although insurance is a major PITA when it is a whole car payment and then some, you get it for a reason. If you hit someone and you don't have enough insurance to cover injuries / repair bills, guess who pays the difference? You.
I always got the cheapest insurance until my uncle got in an accident. He was riding his motorcycle and got hit by someone. He ended up having to sue them for like $500k because insurance couldn't cover his bike and injuries (in the hospital and out of work for over 8 months). If the guy had full coverage, he wouldn't be paying off $500k.

Add a 2nd driver (Mum or dad), someone that has a lot of years in experience of driving and NCB. Should bring your quote down

I used Go Compare however compare the meerkat is just as good. Try changing your annual mileage to something like 4000 (even if you're going to do more, they're never going to know).
I'd advise you not to get a blackbox as there are a lot of restrictions which you may find annoying and could actually end up costing you a lot if you break their rules!
Also, make sure you state that you keep your car in a locked garage over night and do not use it during peak times, this should bring your quote down massively.
I'm 19 and my insurance on my Seat Leon FR is £2900, reduced from £3500 just because I added my brother as a second driver.

The only thing about corsa c's are that insurance companies class them as boy racer cars so that puts the price up

I passed my test in march last year, and I straight away bought a 2014 Seat Ibiza FR (105),
Cost me 888 for one year, with a black box, which doesnt really apply
