Hello! Hope everyone is well
Now, the topic is Anxiety. I understand a lot of people will most likely want to jump straight of this post and forget it even exists. Which is fine, I get that. But for those who do suffer from a form of anxiety, whether it's a minor form of social anxiety or a severe form that is having an impact on your life, I feel this could be a good topic for you guys which(I hope) would provide some help in daily life.
I really do not want this post so come off as a really deep and serious debate or issue. Just something that people can talk about and give their opinions on
On a personal note, I do suffer from a form of social anxiety. It's not something I like to tell a lot of people, nor is it something I always like to keep running around in my thoughts. I've realized it's good to tell people about it and get some of those negative thoughts of your chest. It only gets worse the more you ponder on something.
The longer I have had social anxiety, the better I have become. I almost feel that if I hadn't come across my anxiety then I wouldn't have had anywhere near the amount of confidence I do now. The more nervous I feel about something, the more I want to do it. Simply because that is my way of giving a big f**k you to my anxiety
If you had read up to this far then that's much appreciated! Also, if you suffer from a form of anxiety or know someone who does, then feel free to post about it or possibly give helpful advice to some people who may have day to day anxiety troubles!
My advice is to always try your best to think positively, step out of your comfort zone whenever you really feel you can and try to keep your mind focused. Do not let those negative thoughts get you down. Anytime a negative thought comes into your head, try your best to switch that for a positive one. Now believe me when I say that I know that is a big ask. Your mind just doesn't want to let go sometimes! But if you persist and believe that you can get through it and become a better person, then the chances are that you will
One more thing to add to that would be keeping track of what is causing you bother. Is it a driving test, someone at work or simply that your mind is just having a frenzy. With all of these it is great idea to attack the problem and work out a way to fix it. Do not let it sit as a barrier to you conquering your everyday life. Find out the issue. Work to fix it. Beat that worry!
Thanks
Any advice will be posted below on this thread -

I'm not a person who opens up easily and am a bit shy.
So meeting new people isn't easy, I wouldn't say I have anxiety really, I just don't fck with certain people.

I don't think I have anxiety but I do get stressed sometimes over things. I think everyone does.
I have a very serious medical problem. It effects my way of life, and how I have to live my life. If I let my mind wonder and think negative, I probably would not be here right now.
I just keep positive. Hang out with positive people and stay away from everyone who is negative. I do what I enjoy and also try to just live my life normally while keeping my mind positive. You can't let shit get to you.

Very well said there buddy. Don't let any of it affect you in any negative way, your way too valuable and loved for that.
I used to have a really close friend who suffered from depression and anxiety. He was so close to putting an end to his life, but he managed to find the positives in his life and he, thankfully, found something he had a very strong passion for, which was fitness, and now he's well on his way to becoming a certified personal trainer!
It's amazing how our lives can change so quickly. All we have to do is focus on positive energy and never let the negatives in life distract us. Life is way too short to be worrying about the opinion of others.

Don't think you could have given a much better response to that! Fair play mate.

I wouldn't say I have social anxiety, it's just when I stress. Can be when I'm home alone or when I'm socialising etc. It's not just the anxiety, I have a lot of issues that I will not post on here but I can easily say it to someone. Only 2 members on here know about it & if I'm honest, im really struggling ATM..

I have depression and anxiety which has been on going for the past few months gradually getting worse to the point of suicide. I am already on multiple other medications for other illnesses such as epilepsy, CRMO, CPS etc so I can only take 40 mg of citalopram a day.
To be truly honest I find I am only not stressed/ depressed or down is when I am in the gym gone midnight when there is only staff and no one else there and I can just zone out to music. I have found this is the best way for me to be happy so I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling also.
Stay strong and plod along.

anxiety is a terrible illness, its impossible trying to explain anxiety to someone who doesn't have it. Best part of dealing with your anxiety is figuring out what started it and work with that
