I couldnt agree with you more man. Todays generation is more focused on looking good online than they are about their own health. I see people all the time who will post pics of them being at the gym but yet ill of seen them the day before drinking soda and smoking cigarettes.

I stopped using social media a while ago. i still use snapchat to snap my friends and i look on the facebook marketplace but i dont do any posts or upload any pics. Once you just stop worrying about what these people think, you have alot more peace in your life

Couldn't agree more, another thing is that we don't have a "right or wrong" anymore. Everyone can do whatever they want. It bothers me a lot, but I know at the end of the day I'm happy with my two dogs, girlfriend and life. I'm on TTG more than Facebook now because people tend to stay away from politics and news while gaming lol.

I find that no one can start a point by saying "today's generation" without sounding corny or like a hipster.
The biggest thing I have noticed, I don't know if it's the same with others but the youngin's in my school are just completely messed up.

The internet just exposes you to so much bullshit that it's forcing them to grow up so fast. At 10 Girls are wearing make-up without learning self appreciation and wanting to be in sexual relationships. Boys take advantage of this and I find it messed up. Getting drunk doin drugs at that age is just crazy too me.

I completely hate the view "all" "most" people can't think for themselves etc but in my area kids are literally all the same it blows my mind. It's the same person in different bodies I swear. The internet has made everyone insecure and be dependent on social acceptance.
I don't want to start this transgender shit cause it just annoys me but the internet Turned everyone into ****** too. I mean that in the sense of being hurt to easily by words etc.

Facebook is complete cancer though I don't get why people still use that. Never used it.
One thing which is weird to me is we have been completely desensitised to everything.
For example porn. When internet didn't exist people would be wildin if they saw some titties but because of porn it's just completely ruined and screwed with the idea of how it should be or whatever.
Same with music and art. It's been ruined to some extent.

Look at videos of concerts. 80% are literally on their phones most the time. Human experience is just being devalued. But that's just the way shit is and there's no stopping it I'm glad I am born at this point in history. Seems like the least shit time to be alive.

Tbh though I just think life has been completely ass at every point in history but we just live at a point where we can see everything.

As a society It is impossible to like everybody. It just is. However it's easy to like someone individually as we actually experience what they are like. On the internet you are just characterised loosely meaning that it appears as though everyone is just a dickhead but in reality they are not.
I like the internet but I dislike the interaction of it. I love parts of life and the internet is just amazing if you think about it. I think of more positives than negatives but I never get to talk about the negatives so I just wanted to post about it

The biggest problem I have found is that the amount of information on those sites that is wildly inaccurate and people accept it as fact is really scary. As for people being addicted to it and needing their fix that's a big problem too, its hard to deal with I could take steps to ensure my own kids didn't get addicted to it but that doesnt really solve the bigger picture. most intellectual people I know barely use social media sites because it really is cringy to see what people are obsessed with and what people believe, its like the fact that something is typed means its true.

I'm only 20 and hate social media myself, granted it's great that we can keep in touch so easily with friends and family but it's destroying people's life's and their perceptions of the world without people even knowing it!

All of these things, they get shared and commented on over and over. It seems like the only news today is bad news because that's what people want to see on Facebook.

I'm not calling you out on anything but what do people get out of showing off ? I mean do they make the effort to post something for themselves ? Because it doesn't benefit them.
Whenever I see someone showing off something to me it's just a "please look at me" kind of thing.
Especially with materialistic things. I mean if someone done a genuinely good action I kind of get it but if someone is showing of clothes the only thing I get from it is " Look I have nice things please accept me"
