I started doing Masonry work this summer (on the books). I am collecting unemployment just enough to survive until the spring along with my gf who works full time. I also work on the side here and there but I'm losing my mind lol. I literally don't have any interest in playing Xbox like I thought I would. I clean and cook if I'm off for a week but I'm getting cabin fever. Anyone else ever have this problem?

We never have time off in the summer always busy and we worked right up into Christmas. It's just these couple cold months here in PA that nobody could have steady work outside. I understand your situation though. I wouldn't work for someone who couldn't provide steady work.

That's awesome, first time for me. I'm bored and I'd spend all my money if I went to the bar all weekend long lol. You must make decent money after 6 years.

As a finish carpenter, there is usually no work from November to January, so I know I have 3 months nof almost no work. I just do the same thing, walk the dogs, post on TTG, mess with my truck / guns, etc.

I was not in work, education or training for the 4 month period bridging 2015 and 2016. I barely left the house & it was the worst 4 months of my life.

I'm now working in a steady white collar industry where i'll likely be in work for a very long time coming.
