Wondering if anyones used both of the above mentioned displays before?

I'm currently using a 1440p 60Hz (27") display and have been wondering if having 144Hz is better, as i mainly play shooters. Reason im looking at 1080p 144Hz (24") is because i can't afford a 1440p 144 panel lol

Anyone who's used both of these, what would you recommend?

Thanks, might sound stupid but im curious, never used/seen 144Hz before.

Edit: Im using a 980ti w/ a Xeon E3 1231v3

What 1440p monitor are you using? You can get a QNIX QX2710 for less than a 1080p144Hz monitor and the QX2710 have been known to overclock very well.

Once you go to 144hz you never want to go back.

I bought a 1440p 144hz monitor and can easily say, for me, the biggest difference is the Hz increase.

1440p doesn't affect me that much. I much prefer the higher framerate.

The QX2710 costs about the same as a 144Hz 1080p panel and pretty much everyone I've seen with the QX2710 has managed to overclock to 100Hz+ pretty easily. You could overclock your current monitor, see what you can get out of it and if the higher refresh rate is preferable to you.

That sucks I know them feels though, had me a monitor that OCed to a fantastic 61Hz lmfao. I've got a couple at 75Hz now and it's a reasonable upgrade but not that great. I can see 100Hz+ being nice, but I'm not willing to shell out tons of cash for that and would personally prefer a larger resolution.

Honestly, just stick with your current monitor or grab a QX2710, that's my opinion.
