So about 2 1/2-3 years ago I came down with this sickness and it was like the flu but came with confusion and like disconnection. It almost felt like there was a barrier in between real life and I and it went away after about 2 weeks and now it seems to be back again. It's been a week now and it started off as just a runny nose and sore throat for the first two days and then I woke up the third day and the confusion and disconnection came. Now it's been exactly a week as of today and the cold like symptoms seem to have died down but the confusion is still here and makes simple day to day tasks difficult. This sickness also causes me to sleep around 15 hours a day and makes me extremely tired. I've tried all sorts of anti-cold medications but nothing seems to work. I went to the doctor yesterday and they checked for strep throat and mono but they said it doesn't look like I have either but they're still waiting for the lab test results. Has anyone ever had a similar experience and know how to get rid of this? I'll +rep if anyone has good serious suggestions.
