Hope you and the family are okay

Well damn, hope all is well x

This happened to me and my family a couple years ago. They were in South Carolina staying a couple days for my Basic Training graduation. I remember I was standing in final formation, and we can't move when we're at the position of attention. Well, I could see my mom in the near distance on the phone and all of a sudden I just see her drop. My grandma had gotten ahold of her and we found out that our house was on fire, we lost our two cats that we rescued from a shelter and our birds (we had four parakeets and two cockatiels). The fire ended up rekindling several times before we lost everything. I went in with my mother, as she told my First Sergeant what had happened, and sat down with the Chaplain and my Company Commander and we explained everything that had happened. The Red Cross was contacted through my Company and they told us that they'd help us replace the things that we lost, they had just taken a huge financial hit, and between that, my father being disabled and my sister being autistic with a tectal glioma brain tumor, money was pretty tight. The Red Cross ended up doing absolutely nothing for us, we had a case number and tried several times contacting them again, but apparently the person that took up our case had since quit and we were told there was nothing they could do for us. We're still trying to get back on our feet after what happened to this day.

That's awful man..
Glad ur safe and most of your pets are feel bad for the 3rd one.

All in all be happy your safe because ur's and that cats live is the only thing you cant replace in the end.
