From an aesthetic perspective, the first pair of shoes look better because they have only two prominent colors - red and white. The third color, black, is sprinkled sparingly on the top of the shoe and does not clash with the surrounding red color. It is easy to look at.

The second pair of shoes has three prominent colors - red, black, and white. Too much clash from the side already. On the top of the shoe, the tongue of the shoe is black and white, with red laces smeared across the top. The red-stripes-on-white combination just draw too much attention from the eyes than the black-stripes-on-red from the previous shoe.

Both shoes have the same three colors, but the first pair make it work better. Personally, I think it'd look better if they just stuck with only two colors for both shoes - either red and white, or black and white.

If its basketball related, I would go for the first pair!

If you're going to be wearing orange shirts the black and orange pair would match better.

The bottom ones are the best by far!
