Why would there be? If they are the same card, regardless the manufacturer they can be SLI'd and have no issues whatsoever.

Also, if he is appending the push for a 1070, why SLI the cards when a 8gb model of the 480, and select models of the 6gb 1060 are in that range.. If he is looking to save, and not have to hassle to much then the second card is the best way to go.

Also if you were wondering if there were any glitches? Why would there be? Unless he is running DX12 strict games that card will suite him fine across most games, what was the one dual gpu on one card, the 690? i am thinking, can fit with most cards today, and is still generally within the range of modern cards and in the case he adds another 770, he will be better off.

Shit yeah you'll have weird glitches but every system has weird glitches. Why would they be incompatible?

Doesn't it depend on the game, if they support it, or there could be scaling issues. I also heard that Nvidia isn't supporting 3, and 4 way SLI as well.

I have a 1080p 24' monitor and I would like to play games like gta v with consistent 60+ fps preferably on med to high settings.

Other games such as league I already run over 300 fps on high settings but would like to stay up 100 if I upgrade my monitor to a 144hz 1440p one.
