Has anybody looked into the theories of the late Lloyd Pye?
He raises some interesting points about the human race and it's origins...
I read that he was killed off by the 'higher powers' because he was revealing the truth...
There are a fair amount of his lectures and speeches on YouTube. I'm just not sure what to make of it..?
Opinions please?

Although it is certainly possible, i don't see any reason to believe that he was killed off by higher powers. His research is very intriguing though and i will have to look more into this

The ancient aliens theory is interesting and some of the evidence they present could be good evidence if it was paired with actual concrete evidence, but it isn't.
Most of it is circumstantial and other theories provide equally as likely, if not better explanations for how certain things happened in the past.
I was a student of archaeology so I looked quite extensively into the claims of ancient aliens advocates and the main point that their argument hinges on is that "humans weren't smart or capable enough to have done X on their own" and that is simply not true.
Ancient history has seen some of the most intelligent humans who have ever lived creating ingenious ways of constructing megaliths and surviving.
Imhotep is just one example of the astounding intelligence that our species is capable of. He was born in 2650 BC and he designed and organised the building of The Pyramid of Djoser, the first pyramid in history which still stands to this day.

He also wrote one of the earliest pieces of 'non-magical' medicinal works. This is all especially incredible considering he didn't have much of a knowledge base to work from.
He had to figure it all out by himself.
So no, I think the ancient aliens theory is wrongly derogatory of humanity by nature of its very premise.
Let's take one thing they point to and say that humans couldn't have built this structure, and I'm not going to go for the pyramids because I think everyone knows how they built the pyramids now.
The Lateran Obelisk
This is an ancient Egyptian obelisk which is one entire stone. It weighed more than 330 tons when they managed to stand it upright in Karnak. It was moved and shortened later on which is why it now stands in Italy, but that is besides the point.
Just how did the ancient Egyptians, in all of their technological inferiority manage to pull this huge stone into an upright position without it breaking, or it simply sliding along the ground?
The proponents for the ancient aliens theory, who think that ancient humans were unintelligent, would say that aliens must have helped them to erect these massive structures using telekinetic technology.
How did they actually do it? With sand and gravity.
It is a very elegant solution which is genius in its simplicity.
You build an enclosure with blocks around where you want the obelisk to stand and fill this enclosure with sand.
You slide the obelisk so that half of it is resting on the sand and half of it is resting on the blocks and sturdy ground built up outside the enclosure.
You filter the sand out of the bottom of the enclosure through a gap and as the sand level lowers the obelisk will begin to, under its own weight, fall gradually into place with some ropes around it for the workers to guide it into position.
In case that didn't make much sense, here is it visualized:
To me, this is a far better explanation than "Aliens must have done it." and these kinds of explanations can be applied to so many things in the ancient aliens theory if you only accept that ancient humans were not stupid.

Lloyd Pye was an archaeologist who thought there was enough evidence to assert that aliens have visited the world in the past and helped us become what we are by showing us new technologies, clearing up our gene pool, and even inter-breeding with some people.
He was the owner of a 900 year old skull of a young Mexican boy who had skull deformities and he though that this was evidence of cross-bred child of an alien and a human.
He died of cancer in 2013 and some of his fans think that he was killed by the aliens because they didn't like that he was exposing their existence.
It's all quite crazy.
