So I've recently bought this PC as a start off point to try and get into PC Gaming, however I'm struggling to run games at any decent level. Games are really Laggy and i have really poor FPS on most games

I asked a few people and they said it had decent specs. Am i doing something wrong or is this just not a good enough PC to run games like ARK Survival Evolved with Good settings?

Id be more than happy to upgrade parts if i had to but i thought this would be enough to start with

Any help would be great

Thanks

The problem is that you are using an APU for gaming. An APU means: Accelerated Processing Unit. This is basically a GPU and a CPU combined. I'd recommend buying a dedicated GPU such as 1050ti or 1060 for a start.

It doesn't have decent specs at all. Download Speccy and post a screenshot for us. We also need to know your budget and currency for upgrades. If you can return this system for a refund, I'd do that. Otherwise, the only stuff really worth re-using in a new system is the HDD, and potentially case but it looks like a pretty poor quality case. Also could you tell us the make and model of the PSU.

Thanks for the Tips.

Sorry im not really good with all the Specs and Tech knowledge. Would a simple upgrade to my graphics card be a solution to this or do you think i need a full upgrade?.

My budget would be around £800-£1000

If you are happy spending that much, you'd be better off building a new system mostly. You could re-use the HDD at the very least, like I said. You could re-use the case if you wanted, but it's a shitty case and I wouldn't recommend it, but you'll need to tell us if you'd rather re-use the case to spend the money elsewhere? Also, if you can tell us the make and model of your PSU, we can tell you if you can re-use that, but I doubt it honestly. PSU is one of the first places people cheap out on pre-builts.

That being said, if you could return this system and get a full refund, that would be preferable since the majority of it is pretty useless.

What games are you trying to play?
Are you only using the system for gaming?
What monitor are you using?
