Hi guys and girls i am writing this to try and get a fix with my cpu cooler. Im using the kraken x52, i have connected it all up to my motherboard and psu and have gone over it numerous times to make sure... Its all done correct. It shows up in the cam software so i can see it is cooling my cpu etc... Only problem is that the led's r not working. I was thinking to get a replacement but i thought id check to see if anyone on here can come up with a fix for it.

Thanks in advance

Did you connect the mini-USB to a USB2.0 header?

Try a different usb header on the mobo, if that doesn't work try reinstalling cam & kraken

I am using a Asus maximus ix code mobo and it has 1 internal usb 2.0 header right next to a ROG_EXT now the one described as being the usb 2.0 header on the manual does not actually fit into the nzxt usb 2.0... so i have used the rog_ext instead. I have searched google and ive found other people had the same problem but later was able to get it to work by plugging it into the rog_ext. But for me still no luck hence why i posted here.

There is only 1 usb 2.0 internal header on this mobo, i have reinstalled cam and i have reinstalled the kraken drivers in device manager but still no luck.

Kind regards

So have you tried the USB 2.0 header as well, or not? If not, try it. If you have and it didn't work, I'd probably contact NZXT because it might be an issue with the cooler.

Well yes i tried but the little metal prongs that stick up from the motherboard dont line up with the nzxt usb so it doesnt fit...

I have already contacted nzxt regarding this and the seller i bought it off, i was just 'checking in' here to see if anyone could fix it

I'm confused, the mini-USB plugs in to the pump. There shouldn't be a problem fitting the cable in to the USB 2.0 header.

Here maybe some pics will help clarify what i mean by the nzxt usb dont line up with the mobo usb 2.0 header. Also i have just tried to plug it into the usb 3.0 but it dont seem to fit... Come on guys i must be doing something wrong right? Hopefully we can solve this

Can we get a photo of the mini USB cable? Both sides please. It should fit on to the USB header. That's how you're able to use the CAM software so that'll be why it's not working on the ROG_EXT connector.
