Does anybody on this website actually have a taste for old music? Seems like everybody here just listens to talentless, meaningless garbage.
I really can't stand to listen to present-day music much anymore except for a select few artists. Otherwise, all I can listen to anymore is old country (Cash, Haggard, Jennings, Robbins, etc) and as the title suggests, old time rock (Billy Idol and Joel, CCR, Bowie, and the like). I even still have a knack for Elvis, Nat King Cole, The Drifters, and others in that era.
Really I love just about anything from the 60s-80s (some 50s and some 90s). Is there anybody out there amongst the TTG community that has the same taste? I'm just curious and wouldn't mind have a convo about it.
Also, I'll put up a poll here to see just what kind of music y'all like. Hope I include most of them.

first of all you need to change your perspective, good and bad music doesn't have a timeline. Horrible music exists in the past too and great music exists today. You can't look down on someone for an opinion because everybody who has an opinion and taste is both right and wrong
But yeah
I fully respect Bowie but I can never just get into his music. I understand why people like him though. So all music from 90s and back?
John Denver only country singer I can listen to tbh
dizzy gillespie
tracy chapman
miles davis
eric clapton
ray charles
john coltrane
the smiths
grace jones
metallica
nirvana
mj
ben e king
iron maiden
the cars
the beatles
sonny rollins
Bill Withers
Vivaldi only classical music I like heavily
slayer
the cure
I tend to just cop random compilation albums for rnb and other genre's. It's rare for me to go into a specific artist in depth.
Most hip hop for made a lot of progression in the late 90's early 2000's so I'm not going to count that
