I'm currently driving a 2016 Seat Leon FR 150bhp with a twincharger. So I've got a choice for the upcoming year on what to upgrade to. Insurance is a killer in the UK however I will be 20 at the time of upgrading & Lookers Seat are providing me a £1k cashback towards the insurance because I will have to start a new policy (Churchill, my current insurer, cannot insure me on one of these till I am 21)

My options are either a Seat Leon Cupra 300 or Audi S3 Sportback.

Cupra - £29,600

S3 - £32,545

I am leaning towards the S3 as I feel like if I get the Cupra, I'd be driving the same car as I am now but with just more power. IMO the S3 has a slicker look to it & the ride is very smooth. I am yet to take the Cupra for a test drive (hopefully in March when it hits the showrooms). On paper, the new Cupra has better performance than the S3 however I am yet to experience this myself.

What are your guy's suggestions & opinions on each ride?

What Large said

I'm a big fan of my A3, if they brought the S3 in the hatchback to the states I would more than likely be saving up for one in the future. The S3 will be a lot of fun, and the tuning scene for AUDI cars is huge so you will easily be able to tune it later down the line and get some impressive gains.

Edging towards the S3 but I'm not making a decision till I test drive the Cupra 300 when its available.

S3, Not even any hesitation.

Heard a lot about the Cupra from Car Magazines saying its AWD is awful and the only reason people really bought Cupra's is the performance for money, but now the fact that its minimum spec costs £29k, it really is overpriced.
