Motivational wrotelmao what? "footballers" really don't do the same as american football players. To get there, it's all about practice with your footwork, not to take anything away from them, but it's much different. Soccer is all about practice focusing on mainly 1 skill, not lifting weights everyday, where as with american football, you need to dedicate yourself to working out all of the time and work on multiple things, like if you're a QB you need to work on your footwork and your accuracy. How is soccer the same thing? It's all about using your feet, not anything else.PMSL wrote soccer i guess even though its crap IMO.
its so overrated.
dont get me wrong i like World cup and olympics football. other than that pure crap.
Kicking a rubber ball around some grass and getting paid millions while other people work their ass of just aint me thats my views.
You're not paid in life by how hard you work. You're paid by how much of an impact you make.
Saying that footballers don't work their ass off is pure ignorance, they work far harder than the most people. If being a footballer was easy then everyone would be a footballer.
You could literally apply what you said to anything that pays well, American football, cricket, basketball, acting, etc. Just because someone makes more money than you and doesn't work as hard isn't a reason to be jealous.

Vial wroteYour ignorance is legit hysterical. You have no idea about anything regarding sports outside of the UK. Congratulations, soccer players only use their hands (barely) and feet. That's nothing compared to football. You could be a twig and still play soccer. You're trying to tell me soccer players go to the gym often just based on needing to "strength the ball from players"? Yeah, definitely dude. All football players do is "pitch" the ball and run around.
The only thing soccer players do is run around a field kicking a ball, meanwhile, their goalkeeper is in a net 10x the size of their body.
Nice.

Goal keepers work on timing, positioning, one on ones, shot stopping.
Defenders work on positioning, judgement, tackling.
Midfield work on running, stamina, passing, tackling, shooting, jumping, heading, close control, first touch, skill.
Strikers work on composure, shooting, positioning, first touch, skill, awareness.
Now that's all they need for the pitch not including any gym work.
Why's American football even called American football? Not even played with the feet and will forever be in real footballs shadow.

RL9 wroteAnd? You basically just proved my point. The game is played mostly by your feet. Hell, 80% of the techniques you listed stem from using your feet and just flat out using your feet. Like I said before, you don't need to be physically athletic like american football players do. Not sure how that's so hard to admit, because you don't.
& with american football, that's nice. You're biased because you live in the UK, just like 80% of the people on this site. I don't care if American Football doesn't get the same viewership as "soccer" or not. I'll always think of soccer as a terrible sport even if you don't agree with it, idc.

There's no need to be so offended lol.
I was implying that it's easy to say that being an athlete isn't hard and a soldier deserves to be paid more. All athletes work hard and deserve their paycheck.
NFL is a completely different thing. The majority of NFL players are blatantly abusing steroids, there's nobody in any other sport that's even close to J.J Watt's or Gronkowski's physique. And please don't pull the "genetic" bullshit. Genetics will not get you to 6'5 135kg naturally, there's no athlete in any other sport in the world that's even close to that big. Anthony Joshua, Zlatan etc are about 35KG of muscle behind.
American football takes far less skill than soccer too, it's physically harder for sure but it takes less actual skill. For a wide receiver, you only skills you need are juking and catching. The rest is running and jumping which is completely physical. Football requires you to be constantly readjusting your feet, thinking about where your teammates are etc. I've watched plenty of NFL football btw, soccer definitely requires more skill. You could abuse every single steroid on the planet and if you're bad at soccer, you'll still be bad. You won't hit the ball harder or better even if you're stronger, it's all about your technique.
You clearly completely misunderstood what I was saying. I was trying to say that all well paying jobs look easy and the outside but they're actually extremely difficult.
