Want to start weight lifting but preferably at home. Do you think thats a good idea? I dont want to go to a gym just yet.

I want to buy some dumbells, excercise bench.

Lifting basic dumbells is fine. Any heavy lifting you should always have a spotter so i would suggest against heavy lifting.

Yeah doing that shouldn't be a problem. I understand wanting to avoid the gym.

Yeah man, mainly because 1. I work too much and 2. Im skinny as shit so want to bulk myself up abit

I'm thinking about doing the same, mostly because I'm to lazy to go to the gym and lets be honest, easier at home

I'm 15 and i've have been bench pressing at home since i was 14 and i've had no problems . I reckon its handier cause you can just do it whenever you want and once you pay for the weights etc that's all you have to spend but that's just my opinion lol.

You should get a bench and obviously just start on a low wait like 20 kg, and just build yourself up, no spotter needed if you just lift what you know you can and just build yourself up slowly

I'd stick to little less heavy weights if you're going to bench. If you have a spotter go for it. Dumbells are a good option too.

I do my lifting at home, but I don't buy equipment. A cinder block is about 30 lbs, you can get tires to lift, a piece of granite, etc. I guess I like multiple use things.
