Well, not necessarily stupid, but kinda funy..but it's pretty stupid.

I work for Tesco Mobile and we had a customer one time take a contract out with us and we explained the insurance cover we offer for the phone and he was adamant he wouldn't need it. Our insurance can only be taken when you purchase the device. Even started telling me to hurry up etc. insurance is a waste of money and was kicking off about it. He left the store with the phone and dropped it outside on the concrete and it was smashed to pieces. Came in asking what we could do and we told him there's nothing, he didn't take insurance at his own risk and has just dropped a £700 phone which he'll be paying for over the next 24 months lol.

I can't remember how it came to conversation but we were talking about health and safety on site in a class with apprentices and one of them said, with confidence may I add "I don't need to wear a hard hat because i don't work near bricks"

I've heard and seen a lot of stupid things but that was the most recent one I could remember
