Will you overclock?
Aesthetics?
What monitor do you have?
Peripherals needed?

What are you looking to achieve with an upgrade? What exactly is your system not doing that you want it to?
What storage have you got?
What case have you got?

You may as well just build a new system to be honest;

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] / [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

CPU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£216.00 @ Aria PC)
CPU Cooler: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£51.03 @ CCL Computers)
Motherboard: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£91.31 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£55.00 @ Aria PC)
Storage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£88.98 @ CCL Computers)
Video Card: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£158.99 @ Amazon UK)
Case: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£79.99 @ Novatech)
Power Supply: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£84.77 @ CCL Computers)
Monitor: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£158.50 @ Novatech)
Total: £984.57

Re-use your 1TB HDD and you can sell everything else. You could invest in a 1440p or 4k monitor instead of the 2560x1080 i included but I wanted to stay within £1k in case you wanted to keep your old components for any reason.
