I was wondering if anyone knew if the z270's are compatible with my i7-6700 (SkyLake) and if so what sort of issues would come with that if any?

I bought new Ram and it apparently isnt compatible with my current MB even though I thought i checked for that, so I was planning on just upgrading my MB

If you bought RAM that's not compatible with an LGA1151 motherboard that you currently have, it's not going to be compatible with a Z270 chipset motherboard.

The i7-6700 is compatible with Z270 chipset motherboards though.

I know for a fact that the RAM will be compat with the new Mother it just isnt with my current with my current one for some reason. (But that isn't even related, nor the problem) I asked about the processor so thanks, I thought it would be compat but I wasn't sure since I couldnt find a clear answer anywhere.
