Any ideas on shortening my rendering time on Sony Vegas 14? I have a 7 minute video, and it took an hour and 33 minutes to render. If all else fails, anybody know of a better video editing program? I previously used Camtasia 8, but lost it on my older computer, so I just resorted to Sony Vegas 14.

Computer Specifications:
Intel Core i7-6500U Processor @ 2.59 GHz
12.0 GB RAM
64-Bit Operating System, x64-based Processor

The only way to improve your rendering times is by having more cores on you CPU. Your processor only as two cores with hyperthreading, meaning it technically has 4 cores. I'm also assuming you are using a laptop because the processor is a U type.

If you want better rendering times, you will need to either buy or build a new computer.

Id think about upgrading your CPU. 2.59 is pretty low for Video Rendering. Upgrading to an i7 will make a huge difference.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for an i7. They dont break the bank but they are vital to your PCs performance.

If the i7 breaks the bank, try the i5. Amazon has a 30 day returns policy, so you can always try different CPUs.

Hopes this helps mate and best of luck. Pm me if you need any help.
