The chances of the US being nuked are incredibly low becuse as soon as that rocket with a nuclear warhead launches in NK the US will detect it almost instintaniously as it will be shot down within the first 10mins of it being in the air.

Watch this video it will give you a little more insight

USA recently dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb on Afghanistan targeting I.S caves... I think that is a clear message to North Korea without a doubt. WWIII is approaching real soon.

I live 20 mins from NYC but there's no way a nuke would even hit the water before we shot it down lmao

In our current situation, the US is pretty well off with all the countries backing us.

As far as possible nukes, they would bomb the big military bases first. For them to nuke a major city would be stupid and a waste of materials.

As far as do I feel safe? I do feel safe from a nuclear threat like North Korea as that missile has to fly over a lot of out current allies. As far as my location, I do not feel safe. I travel the country so I don't have a "bug out" location. Back home I do, back home I'm armed, back home I have a food and water supply. Out here I don't have jack.

I feel pretty safe as of now even though these leaders seem ignorant they are not stupid enough to start nuclear warfare.

i feel like they would try to hit a big city like DC. If they hit a smaller city it would be a waste of a missile on their part. Im sure the US would shoot it down on site as well, but you have to think from their pov. Why hit a small city when they can hit a city that means something to the US

They got nuke defensive missiles. It's not just we're screwed. North Korea is nothing and Russia won't do anything either. Nothing to worry about

I honestly don't know why people fear North Korea is going to nuke America. They've been saying that for years and still haven't done it. Back in 2013 when North Korea kept saying they were going to nuke the Americans; Japan and South Korea already said they would shoot down any nuke fired from North Korea and I guarantee that still stands to this day. In your post you mention Syria, North Korea and Afghanistan; don't know if you meant fear of any of those countries nuking America but only North Korea out of that list has nuclear warheads. Syria was bombed by Israel in 2006 or 2007 for being suspected of trying to create a nuclear research facility but that's all they've had going for them and that was destroyed in the bombings. The only ones that America - really the whole world has to fear - is tensions deteriorating between America, Russia or China on a nuclear level. China and Russia are not going to defend North Korea if America attacks them, both countries have told North Korea to stop with their claims of nuking/attacking America in the past and both are calling for diplomatic solution and calling for restraint to ease tensions. All that would happen is both Russia and China would condemn the act, UN meetings again, back and forth who is at fault and then it would fade into yesterday's news as something else happens in the world. The only time Russia or China would defend North Korea, is if North Korea was attacked, and so was Russia or China and they decide to back North Korea and use them to aid their own advancements in the new war. North Korea is not as big of a threat as everyone makes them to be; China literally could kill and starve off all of North Korea since China supplies them with a lot of energy, money and aid, without that, North Korea would become a desperate wasteland urging for humanitarian aid from around the world. Adding onto this, North Korea has what, 10-20 nukes? Even if a few went past South Korea or Japan's missile defense system, I'm more than certain the Americans would be able to shoot down a few nukes from a country that is like 20 something years behind you guys when it comes to technology.

You guys are fine don't worry, only one that needs to worry about North Korean tensions rising is South Korea.

And to play devil's advocate; that map isn't even needed. A strategical nuclear strike, especially for a country that doesn't have nukes to spare would be to attack power grids, water supply areas such as dams and rivers, food production areas such as farms and communication lines, then let the radiation carried through the trade winds do the rest. For a country that has nukes to spare, hitting transportation like buses, highways and trains, hitting power grids, communication lines, food and water supplies and medical facilities and then let the trade winds carry the radiation and assuming how many nukes were fired, let the soot go into the atmosphere and cause a nuclear winter, killing off pretty much everyone.
