Congrats to both you and your fiance!

just wanted it to be official, and I knew she would say yes. Instead of rushing into the wedding just to get it done, we both want to do it right.

That's actually what I'm doing right now too, I have a long distance engagement until she's done with college and we'll be moving in together but even then the wedding is not going to be rushed either. Still, very happy you managed a long distance relationship and further took it to an engagement. Not a lot of people can do that and a lot of people will doubt a person's ability to do so; you are one of the few that can proudly say you turned a long distance relationship into a soon to be marriage. Wish you both the best on your engagement, relationship, friendship and soon as a married couple!

I wish yoi guys nothing but the best!

Thanks Bandit, I actually finally saw the tattoo in person this week for the first time, glad we could both come up with something she liked at the time, even if she rushed into getting it.

Dont rush the wedding!

Trust me, I don't plan on having it for at least 1 year. Only thing I could see happening for us to rush it is she gets pregnant in the time from now to then, in that case then I would probably want to get it done quick, but I hope that doesn't happen, not yet.

Thankfully it wasn't too long distance for too long. She lives about 524 miles away at the moment, but she's only been that far for about 5-6 months, so it hasn't been too bad. It was close enough that if I needed to see her, I could take a few hours out of my day and go see her, and I did a few times. I don't work weekends so occasionally I would drive down Friday and drive back on Sunday, it was just nice being able to see her for a bit every once in awhile though. She actually drove up to see me one time and I had no idea she was coming, she came into the restaurant I work at and ordered a cheeseburger with apple sauce on it, it's such a weird thing, but when she used to work there she would eat that occasionally, so when I saw that get ordered I came out of the kitchen to see who ordered it, and she was just standing there smiling at me and I just completely lost it.

Anyways, good luck with your girl and with hopefully getting engaged, wish you the best of luck!

Hoping it will last forever my man. I'm 19 years old, turn 20 in July. She's 20, turning 21 in May. I'd like to be 21 when we have the wedding. I can easily see myself with her for the rest of both of our lives, and that's how I hope it goes.

To everybody else that said congratulations, thank you all. Like I said, if I'm still active 2 years down the road when hopefully all of this is done, I'll post some pictures.

Although it's not set in stone, the date we've been discussing is September 15th, 2019. It feels like it's so far away, but these next 2 years will fly.
