Hey, I have 2 mates who are looking to build themselves some new computers and naturally they asked me the "computer guy" so naturally im gonna ask you guys to do the work for me since I don't really keep up with hardware that much any more.

For the question, they will be the same since they both have previous periphals and monitors and will be playing the same games.

What is your budget and currency? Australian Dollar 1500 and 2000+ (I know + doesn't help but if its 2150 or so thats alright.)
Do you need a monitor? No for both. Both own 1080p 60hz monitors.
Do you need a keyboard? No for both
Do you need a mouse? No for both
Do you need an operating system? Yes, but I am able to source that cheap enough so don't worry about it.
What will you use the PC for? Primarily gaming. Neither will be editing, rendering, production etc.
The type of games. They would like to be able to play most games at max setting 1080p 60fps but if not at least medium settings.
Don't worry about including a case as they both have one.

Game list would be:
cs:go
bf1
forza horizon 3
PLAYERUNKOWNS' battleground
basically most modern AAA games.

If you don't want to do two builds just do the $1500 build and of course rep to any decent suggestions.

Thanks a bunch.

Need to know what cases they both have. There's no reason to spend even anywhere near $1500 to play at 1080p, especially 60Hz. I'd either recommend spending $750-1000 on a nice 1080p system, or if they want to use all of their budget, use some of it to invest in better monitor(s).
Never mind, it's Aussie dollars I forgot you guys get shafted on pricing. Still need to know the cases they will be using though.

yea we truly do get shafted. its super similar to a cooler master HAF 932. Its a full tower and that is for the $2000 build. Not sure on the other but it is a full tower. Ill be able to ask him in like a day.

They also just want the best computer they can get for those price ranges as they don't want to update it any time soon, just leave it. Also for the $2000 one he says he wants to get rid of some cash. So doesn't really matter if its a bit over the top for what he is using it for.

I know this may not be an answer but your target goal out of the games list would be to max out bf1. Im not familiar with Aussie cash but $2000 will get you a slappin PC. I mean a toaster can run CS;GO. But when you say you can source the processor that also takes away from someone getting you a motherboard because they must have the same socket as your CPU. You should specify what type of CPU you can source

You could really play at 1440p comfortably with this, or 1080p 144Hz so 1080p60 will be easy. Ryzen over Intel for 3x the threads and similar performance in games. Stock cooler will be fine for stock speeds, and a bit of overclocking if you want. XFire support so you can add a 2nd RX 580 at any point. Nice big SSD and an HDD for mass storage.

GTX 1070 instead of RX 580, and a nice aftermarket cooler. Really no reason to spend more than this, unless you're spending it on a monitor. With the GTX 1070, you have SLI support, so you can add a 2nd 1070 at any point.

Monitor I'd suggest getting with the GTX 1070;

If you drop the Cryorig cooler, you can get the GTX 1070 and 1440p monitor with the system around $2000, about $50 over I think.
