so basically a flight attendent did not allow a mother to bring a stroller on the flight and took it. The flight attendent was annoyed at the mother because she was complaining so he hit her with the stroller almost striking the little baby in her arms to. What do you guys think? Do you think finally Oscar Munez deserves to be fired for lack of support to customers?

It's not United Airlines but it's still pretty stupid. What's with airlines not being cooperative?

The United Airlines thing was stupid.
1) They offered passengers money and later flights to leave the plane, nobody did.
Legally they can offer up to $1300 and I think it's incredible that nobody took that money. I think they offered $800 on the specific flight we're talking about.
2) When you buy a plane ticket you are not then guaranteed a spot on a plane.
It says in the terms and conditions that if you are asked to leave a plane for any reason by airline staff then you are legally required to comply.
3) It was the airport security who dragged the man off the plane, they had nothing to do with United Airlines in terms of who they worked for.
4) Yes, the man was a doctor and needed to get somewhere urgently, but the entire reason for UA needing to get those 4 workers onto that flight was because there was another flight grounded somewhere else which couldn't leave until those workers got there.
How many people on that flight urgently needed to get somewhere? I guess we'll never know because that information could go against the media narrative.
I'm not saying that you think UA are genuinely a horrible company, or that you even care, but I know these are 4 things which very few people are taking into account.
And what is the sudden obsession with flight incidents making the news?
Are we supposed to think that this kind of stuff never happened before the past two weeks when I can think of 3 incidents making headline news?
This stuff happens all the time and usually the airline is in the right, legally or otherwise.

As a guy that travels I can tell you that airlines are screwed up.
Air Canada just recently did the random pull off of passengers and one of those passengers was a 10 year old kid going on vacation with his family. He was pulled off the plane but not his family. They all got a different flight from a different airport that was then cancelled.
As for the United issue, they did nothing wrong. As said they reserve the right to cancel your reservation at any time for any reason. The issue that was not dealt with properly was how the marshals (not United) took the man off the plane. If you look at the videos release before he was taken off the plane he wasn't exactly nice to everyone, and I also didn't hear him say he was a doctor who needed to go somewhere, but who knows what happened before the video I seen.
Also people say that there is a legal cap of $1300 which is false, that's a United airlines cap. I think it was Delta that just approved a cap of almost $10k for situations like this. I've been on plenty of overbooked flights and I've gotten a voucher for $1,500 for Alaska (close to $5k in total vouchers for all the flights I've stepped off of). If you travel frequently this is a great way to fly first class, my last 3 flights were first class and so is my one tomorrow lol.
All in all United did everything by the books weather the books are morally right or not. In my opinion if you sell me a ticket and give me a seat number I should be on that plane no matter if Mr. Trump himself needed to be there and there was no seat left.
Ok, now for this AMERICAN airlines incident. You are not allowed to have a stroller on board an airplane. They do not fit in the overhead bins (especially the 2+1 configuration planes), they are supposed to be checked in. The way it works is you can take it all the way up to your departing gate to get your baby there, at which point you let the gate agents know you gave a stroller you need on the plane and they will put it under the plane with the rest of the cargo. Sometimes they will bring it up to you at the gate when you land at your destination, and other times they will tag it and you get it at baggage claim. The guy that "stood up" was morally correct but didn't go about things the right way. In this case he comes off as a total dick (as a lot of first class flyers do). of course the flight attendant was far from a saint as well and should not have acted in that manor.
