What emerging technology most interests you? Why?
For an example: VR/AR, Everything being on-demand(like uber, postmates), ETC.
Myself would be everything being on-demand via phone app. Imagine needing a car part but your car is broke on the side of the interstate.. just open an app and request whatever part you need and next thing you know itll be by your side and you're back on the road!

Despite me being a member on this website I actually don't really try to stay in the know with all this technology coming out. I was just talking to my uncle, however, and he informed me of new biotechnological advancements. Supposedly they came up with this new prosthetic mechanism where when your brain sends chemical signals to the prosthetic limb through your nerves the prosthetic device can decipher those messages and translate it into an electrical current that can either contract or dilate the carbon fibers that the prosthetic is made out of to simulate muscle activity.

Just sold my HTC Vive due to being busy but definitely is one of the coolest things around.
They nailed how precise movements are. I'd like to try PS VR.
Although the development of React & Redux interests me the most.

Holy crap that's pretty crazy and neat. I'm going to have to look into that some more after reading that!

I'm interested in the expansion of wireless charging. Our current wireless charging is actually more restrictive than just plugging it in, but if we could achieve a level with the charging that we currently have for wifi, the possibilities would be endless. Picture no longer needing to plug in anything that has to charge while in your house, your remotes no longer need batteries, you laptop charges constantly while at your university. It would change everything, and I believe that it could even push technology into that next boom stage.

It has to be the general umbrella term 'AI.'
I have already made a topic before with my in-depth thoughts about it, so I won't spend the time plagiarizing myself here.
Forums/t=7682368/superintelligence-and-ai.html
For those who aren't interested in reading that topic I'll give a brief definition here:
AI is shorthand for Artificial Intelligence. It is something which we can see in small doses today with certain machines being better at recognizing faces than we are and being able to beat grandmasters at Chess. In the future though it will likely come to dominate modern life, from our phones and computers to our cars and workplaces.
Self-driving cars, for instance, would fall under the umbrella of Artificial Intelligence.
