So I have had my braces off for a while and I have been wearing my retainer every saturday night before i sleep
Is that bad? Because every saturday night it gets harder to put on means they are shifting away faster.
should I be wearing it every night?

dude I had invisalign and I messed them all up... I got so lazy with it that I cant wear any sets of retainers now. and I'm basically just out a few grand
It sucks so much to feel your teeth under pressure all the time but its worth it to wear them and stay up to date as much as you can. I need to figure out what to do now. I don't have bad teeth but id like to be proud of them

Lol my teeth actually look fine. Just my back molars were moving last and I gave up wearing them so they moved back. But nope you'll be gucci, just continue to wear them like you do now once a week and you'll be fine

You've answered your own question. Your body/mouth/teeth were adjusted with the braces. I'm sure you had to go back in on occasion to have them tightened. This was tricking your mouth into thinking that your teeth needed to be in a new alignment. As soon as your braces were taken off your mouth and teeth will try to adjust back to their original location. Wearing a retainer ensures that they stay in the same place. As you can see your teeth are shifting back to where they were before, and if that continues you will have thrown all of the money away.
What I would do.
1. Immediately make an appointment with my orthodontist.
2. Explain to him/her that you haven't been wearing it your retainer.
They will take new measurements and make a new retainer that will fit. You will have to go in periodically to get a new on as they try to realign your teeth.
It will cost some money, but it will be better than if you have to get braces put back on.
This was a huge over-explanation of what is happening, but I do think it is important for you to go make an appointment before it's too late.
Just my opinion.
Groovy

I haven't wore my retainer since I got my braces off and my teeth are perfect , I wouldn't advise taking my route if you think its risky lol. I haven't worn it in about 3 years now and still have them in the house.

I had to wear mine daily all day and all night, of course taking it out to eat.
Then after 6 months he made me wear it just at night, so I done that for 4 months but now I cba.
