I'm looking to buy a new monitor with the following specs.
24"
144Hz
1440P
IPS
I'm trying to find a Dell one so it can kind of blend in with my second. As i will be using this as my second monitor: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
This is the only one i am able to find unfortunetly:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Amazon Page says 8MS Whilst Dell site says 1MS so i would assume 1MS. Unfortunately it's a TN panel though.
This is the best monitor i can find, and i've spent a good day looking, into all brands, etc. However it is a GSync monitor.
If anyone is able to help me i would really appreciate it!
Questions:
Does GSync Matter?
Does Response Time Matter? I recall reading in past posts Response Time is just a lie?

I would say G-sync is kind of subjective. I've never used it myself so I'm not fully qualified to answer, but you would definitely be fine without it.
Response time absolutely matters, especially for gaming. Always try to go for the lowest possible (usually 1ms).

GSync isn't a major bonus, you'd be good without it. IT would be useful to know your specs before hand, because if i remember properly your last post said you were running a 4k monitor in 1080..

Response times of 1ms or 2ms are pretty irrelevant on 60Hz panels, it's more beneficial to have lower response times with a higher refresh rate monitor.
Assuming you have an NVidia GPU, G-Sync is definitely worth it. The Dell S2417DG would be a good choice. Alternatively, you could get this;

165Hz and I think it would look fine next to your current Dell monitor if you have both monitors on an arm.

I have a GSync monitor and I would say it is a really good addition but not worth going out of your way to buy.
Typically, if you have a high refresh rate monitor, you would aim for low response times but anything 5ms or under is acceptable for 60Hz monitors.

Your going to have a very difficult time finding a 1ms response time monitor with an IPS panel, trust me I've spent a long time looking. I'd be surprised if you found a single one.
