I got scammed once when selling a Dark Orbit account.

I didn't spend a dime on the game, everything I did was from free-to-play. Over the couple of years that I played the game, I racked up an inventory of about 150 GBP. The guy wanted to send a payment over a bank transfer and as I was 17 at the time, I had no idea how they worked. The guy paid over the phone, and a day or two later, the payment got withdrew as he must of gone to the bank and said that I took an unauthorised payment.

I immediately contacted BigPoint (the developers of Dark Orbit) and got the account suspended so he couldn't use it. As I spent nothing on the game, it wasn't a super-loss, however it was worth quite a bit of money if I sold it.

I'm now 20 and have done over 50+ trades/purchases/sales since, and haven't got scammed since.

All I can say is **** scammers.

I have been scammed so many times, this is over Xbox, Playstation or even buying stuff from ebay. I think it is so wrong people being heartless, especially when people who have not much money put there all into trying to get something then a low life scum just does them over. Is scamming even a crime?

Depends on the sellers reputation. I try to use Amazon when I can, eBay if I have to.

True, personally I now think Amazon is the safest place to buy things online from.

Back on Fifa 14/13 I spent nearly £200 on FIFA points for packs, even though I wasn't technically scammed it felt like I had been as my best player was Buffon. My own fault aha
