RGH Question About Hard Drive

So, I have a retail console lying around with a 250gb hard drive. I plan to use it when my Trinity RGH arrives but, my question is that because the hard drive has been used before (has all GTA updates, patches for most games, games, etc.) Will I need to clear it all off for it to work properly on my RGH or can I just plug it in and I won't have to worry about updating GTA when I get online with my RGH?

Yes you will need to format it and set everything up from scratch.

Go to settings on the console and go to the hard drive and press Y and it should say format (You will need to take note of the console ID which is located under system settings) as it will ask you for it when you go to format.
