A few years back I was in a similar situation, where I would just buy whatever clothes from my local mall and throw them on. A few years back I also decided to try to put effort into what I was wearing, and from the moment I started doing that, I haven't stopped.

I used reddit to help me decide where I wanted to start at, specifically on streetwear, though there are many male fashion forums and subreddits to help you as well.

Here is a list of a bunch of different brands, ranging in price.

Take a look through some of the sites and see if any catch your eye. This is how I found out my own style, maybe it will help you.

I could care less about brand names. I shop everything at Walmart and Amazon (amazon whenever I can)

I generally buy them on Amazon. I wear a lot of cargo pants/demin and Carhartt. Like 'Racist' said, look on the Reddit Mens Fashion forums. If you're a bigger guy, there are a lot of bigger men that would be more than happy to help you out.

Lol Jake Paul.
You could try basic sites like h&m [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or zara [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Or maybe Urban outfitters or Forever 21 if you have them in your area.
I mostly buy my clothes online or from thrift shops.
