I have purchased a Ryzen 5 1400 CPU however it was second hand and did not come with a fan. Can anyone link me to a cheap compatible fan to couple it with please? I have tried searching myself but im unsure of compatibility.

Thanks.

What case are you using? Also when you say cheap, how cheap are you willing to go?

Without knowing a real budget, this is what I would throw in with it being on the "as cheap as you can go"

The reason I asked for the case was just in case yours was more thinner where having a bigger CPU cooler could run into issues. Personally, I like the Be Quiet CPU cooler more as I love Be Quiet fans, plus I have seen this series of CPU coolers recommended a good amount on here and on Reddit. It comes with some thermal compound you have to apply on the CPU yourself in case you don't have any at your house.

You could get an even cheaper CPU cooler with the link below, but I have personally never seen this CPU cooler in use.

I have personally never used or even heard of those type of CPU coolers and I can't find any reviews with regards to them to see how they cool your CPU or if they'll just shit out after a little. You might need to wait for someone else to be able to help with this issue, as I don't want to tell you to get a CPU fan like you linked, with no previous experience and nothing for me to search up and link you to so you can make your own conclusion if it's going to fit your needs or not.

That's probably the two cheapest CPU coolers I'd be looking at/recommending.

Make sure you get an AM4 backplate with your CPU cooler. The only motherboard I know that supports the AM3 socket on an AM4 board is the CH6. The rest don't I think.

You might have to get in contact with the manufacture of the cooler to get them to send one out like I did.
