I'm having issues connecting to tools while using a VPN connection. The only thing I'm able to connect with is 360 Neighborhood, but each time i reestablish the VPN connection i have to manually enter my RGH's IP address I can't just type JTAG. With all the tools iv'e tried. (free at least) I am unable to connect once i set up the VPN. Am I missing something or is there a method to connect to the RGH while it has a VPN connection? Thanks in advance!

Currently trying to use XRPC tool by xbox360isbest's if it makes a difference.

If you have a cable from your PC to your RGH and have the VPN configured so the PC and RGH are using the VPN you should be fine.

that video shows well, but all you really need is the cable from your pc to your rgh so theyre using the same ip and it will work

I have it set up that way, I've watched a lot of tutorials, the IP when i click on the VPN connection is different then the IP shared on the consoles connection. Could that be whats causing my issue? I'm using cyber ghost as the VPN? I'm new to this lol and the last VPN I tried (earthVPN) didn't allow the connection to be shared. I've had a hell of a time with these VPN's.

Okay, so before you turn on your RGH so want to check your network sharing centre and on Ethernet 2, go to properties, make sure you have sharing on and choose Ethernet for it to be shared with. Then when you load up cyberghost make sure you are also choosing Custom VPN Connection, not the wifi protection. Then that should be it. there's a tut on that video that basically shows what i just said, I used it to set mine up

So, I used the same tutorial to set up the VPN. Thats how i found out earthvpn was no good. I just went back and re watched it again uninstalled cyber ghost and followed it step by step. still having the same issue. Looking through the setting of the Ethernet connection (RGH) it is set to use one specific ip address not detect the ip automatically. Is yours that way as well? When i changed it to automatic my console could no longer connect. I'm beyond frustrated at this point lol. Nothing else has given me this many issues.

yeah I changed it to the specific ip adress that you put in. I then started up the custom vpn connection on ghosts and rebooted my rgh which also connected to live. If you're still having issues then try to contact the user called 'Chat' he's the creator of the video and he knows his stuff when it comes to VPN. If he can't help them I have no idea, I'll try help later if you are still on and need help
