He only seems to be disliking the people who could be viewed as virtue signalling.
Faking outrage and concern to be viewed as ethical and good people by other people.

Or maybe he see's forums like this not as a place to express outrage but as a place to discuss the causes and response to this kind of thing.

He almost certainly does think it's messed up though, if my past conversations with him are any indication anyway.
