It's World War II. There were no exo-suits, no "enhancement drinks", no nothing. It was just regular men who went to war against the Axis powers. I agree with Sledgehammer to try to make it as realistic as possible and keep history in check.
I didn't even know there was unlimited sprint in the past few CoD games and I don't run all the time so I really couldn't have seen it. But it's the past, they can't make a soldier run for 100% of the time if they want to make it as realistic as possible.
And yes, I know that BF1 has unlimited sprint in a WWI game. The sizes of the maps on that game are ridiculously huge (at least in Operations) but I still don't see the point in unlimited sprint, takes away the reality.
