I've tried a few out in the past years.
Ralph Lauren one is the only one that kind of stops smelling after a while.

Victor & Rolf spicebomb, by far the best aftershave out there.
You should try writing in a different colour font as it is hard to read.

Change the font colour please, but to answer your question I run into this problem as well, but find that the smell does not completely leave me. I actually like this because in my eyes with cologne less is more
