Might seem like a noob question. I checked google but cant get any answer that relates to me. So im asking here maybe i can get a direct answer. Any help is appreciated.
Basically i just bought a Xbox One S and my TV is broken so i cannot connect it to my tv. I want to connect the display to my Computer monitor and play it there. But i do not have HDMI port on my computer or a VGA port. All i have on my computer is a USB port it is a Dell Inspiron 2205
So does anyone know how i can go about connecting my xbox to my computer monitor so i can start playing? Thanks

I may be wrong but I believe you must have a HDMI port.

I'm assuming your computer is a laptop, which in that case you would be unable to do.

I don't think what you're trying to do is possible. I'm pretty sure the Xbox One can only be setup with an HDMI cable unless you were to buy an HDMI to VGA splitter but at that you said you don't have an HDMI or VGA port. If your PC supports it you might be able to use the Game Streaming feature on the Xbox App, Although I'm sure you need to be on Windows 10. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You can't. I'm pretty sure the only way this is possible with a laptop is if you have a HDMI input port, which is a very rare feature.

You would literally have to take your laptop apart and solder in a HDMI cable into the input-
That would be hours and hours of work.
Just buy a cheap used monitor for like 70 bucks until you get a new tv
