I'm a complete PC noob and was hoping someone could help in building me a Gaming PC build.
My budget would be around £350-400 with an operating system not needed in the build.
A keyboard and mouse wouldn't be needed either.
I'd be planning on upgrading some parts in the future.

Do you need a monitor? If not, what monitor(s) will you be using with this system?
What exactly will the system be used for, what games? What else other than gaming?

I will be getting a new monitor yes but won't be included in this budget, I'd probably be getting a Samsung monitor that's not overly expensive.
I would be hoping to play games like h1z1, battlefield and fallout as examples.
I'd also be using the pc for general web browsing and school work.

Monitor would be between £150-200
I have a cheap monitor I will be using for the meantime so I'll be focusing on the pc itself, my budget for the pc will be around £350-400

Little over the £400 budget for the system, but still under the top end of your budget for system and monitor. Nice 1080p monitor that will suit this system well, you can get that and the HDD later. SSD for your OS, and a game(maybe a few) that you play a lot. You could get a cheaper H110 chipset motherboard to save some money if you want, but you'll be sacrificing features like 4 DIMM slots, and an m.2 slot(most likely).
