Has anyone here bought from either of these websites? I'm looking for a new computer but am not sure where to buy one from.
I read an article that pretty much compares the two and says both of them are pretty bad. Does anyone have personal experience with these companies or know any alternatives to them?

In my all honest opinion. Always build your own pc. But do MASSIVE amounts of research and browse and wait on deals when doing so. You will end up saving money buying pre built but the parts quality and overall parts are going to be lacking. Also building your own pc you will get better parts and what you want. Plus most pc parts go down in pricing every week and offer some sort of rebate program to save you even more. My advice to you is, do lots of research, pick a list of parts you want, tally up costs and overall performance, and choose that way. GL!

Neither, build your own as it isn't difficult, kind of like building legos.

As someone else has already said, they are cheaper but, the quality of the parts are lower. So, my suggestions is, build it yourself. It is quite fun I did enjoy it when I built mine and the satisfaction of it actually working is amazing. Also if you need help with part selections be sure to make a topic or you can PM me with any queries about it, I will try my best to answer.

I've bought off iBuypower, though it wasn't a desktop, but a laptop, I was extremely happy with the service. The only downside was the cost of shipping which could be $30+. Building your own PC would be the best way to do it in terms of cost for performance. It is extremely easy and fun!

I have done work with ibuypower and they were great. I have built more pcs than I can count but I let them build me one and I'm pretty happy with it. For some reason after about of 5 months of use the fan leds won't turn off unless you completely shut down the computer. I used to be able to put it to sleep and they would turn off.

I bought my computer from iBuyPower and have had some issues with it causing me to replace/repair the CD drive, Motherboard, Fan, and even my graphics card. You're better off building yourself one.

neither you are at a major risk for damaged cards. Bad power supply. Plenty of issues that could arise. Like some others said build your own it isn't that hard, and there are a few of us who are willing to walk you through it.
