Im new to PC gaming completely. Just learning about everything as I go. I made a build though if someone can just look at it and tell me what they think it would be great. My build is about roughly 1000 dollars I would like to keep it in that range. Thanks guys [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

That would be a really poor choice of components. First of all, i5 is a poor choice in the first place IMO, Ryzen 5 is a better option. Secondly, unlocked i5 with a B250 chipset motherboard makes less than zero sense. You're paying the premium for an unlocked CPU to be able to overclock, and then pairing it with a motherboard that you can't overclock with. Also, Hyper 212 EVO is a terrible choice of CPU cooler. There are much newer, quieter, better performing, easier to install CPU coolers for a lower price. If you're planning on overclocking a current gen i5/i7 though, a budget air cooler isn't really going to cut it.

Other than that, not terrible. I'd spend an extra $10 for the Phanteks Eclipse P400S Tempered Glass case though, since it has much better fan/rad support than the S340, and a Tempered Glass window. Also, I'd get an RX 480/580 instead of a 6GB GTX 1060 but honestly, at this point, mid ranged GPUs are almost impossible to find so you should probably just grab the first one you see at a reasonable price, whether it's a 480, 580 or 1060. Lastly, for PSU, the EVGA 650W G3 is the exact same price as that G2 unit, and the G3 is literally just an updated G2 so grab the 650G3 instead of the 650G2.
